Flooring / Example1

The functional use of carpet does not prevent it from being aesthetically pleasing. Berber carpet in this example is a mixed neutral tone weave which tends not to show dirt, wear or spills easily because of the color and randomness of pattern. Children and pets are very hard on carpets, so a carpet that hides the elements is a wise choice.

Not just functional, the natural fiber area rug completes the nature theme created by the plants, leather furniture and natural wood trim while also complimenting the color of the light wood trim. The surrounding decorative trim of the area rug accents the rustic red hearth and unifies the reds, maroons, burgandies and greens in the room together. When excessively worn, the rug can be moved to a utility room or cut into doormats.
