Solving the Customer Need by Identifying Functionality and Good Space Planning

The customer who requested this open kitchen remodel spends much of their family time cooking and entertaining. Mid-height cabinets and no island created the illusion that the kitchen was very small in a very large space. To solve the request, the designers specified cabinets that were much taller as well as hanging lights and a full-height stove vent. Notice the climate controlled wine rack built into the island and effective use of cabinet space. The resulting design enhances the vertical space while adding additional work space by creating an island.
