Many homes do not have a formal dining room, but for those homes that do, the dining room is often the crown jewel for entertaining. This dining room features rich hardwood floors giving a very traditional feel. Easy to maintain with a simple dust mop and some dusting spray. It features looks that are warm and friendly with an easy going, yet potential to be very elegant. High windows allow ambient light to spill in and a recessed highlight bay that is the perfect place to show off that special holiday ornament. Perfect for a traditional family dinner or that special evening of entertainment. This dinning room makes a grand addition to any home.

Contemporary dining room with Southwest feel

Floors: Light oak hardwood floors are durable yet stylish. Maintenance is a breeze with 3 coats of space age urethane. This polyurethane finish will help the floor give many years of faithful service while preserving the rich look of this light oak foundation. Notice the opposing grain of the entry way into the kitchen. This visually establishes the dining room as a separate entity without compromising traffic flow.

Lighting: Recessed lighting adds a nice touch of reflected light. The task lighting over the table invites conversation and easiness. Take notice of the halogen accent lights in the wall niche. They provide a focus while generously illuminating items in the recess.

Dining Room Furniture: The traditional country table and chairs dining room set keeps the contemporary architectural design of the room in balance and creates harmony.

Hardware: Brass knobs and hinges add just the right accent to the doors in this dining room.

Accessories: Plants and flower vases accent this or any dining room with a touch of out doors. The natural brown and tan colors of the various woods mixed with the subtle colors of plants and flowers are the perfect combination to spruce up a room. After all, who can argue with mother nature?

Bar: An open counter top to the kitchen is a nice touch of form and function. It acts as a go-between for serving and clearing, this counter top is a great transition from the preparing area of the kitchen to the dining area.
